What is it designed to
do?
Personnel
interested in participating in the Project Management
Developing You (PMDY) series of training courses
are encouraged to complete the assessment to help
determine their strengths and areas for improvement
within project management. The assessment is designed
to validate knowledge in the basic project management
areas as defined in the Association for Project
Management's Body of Knowledge (APMBoK). Armed
with this information you can make informed decisions
about which PMDY courses to attend.
This assessment, along
with the PMDY curriculum, will help prepare you
to take the APMP qualification.
Who is the intended audience?
Any employee whose role and responsibility
in the company requires the application of project
management skills to initiate, plan, execute,
control or close a project, for example:
- Project Managers
- Employees who work alongside project managers
- Other project team members with leadership
responsibilities
- Technical team leads
- Functional managers with employees assigned
to program and project teams managers of Project
Managers
- Anyone with an interest in Project Management
at BAE Systems
What is the cost?
The assessment is free of charge to BAE systems
employees. Please contact Ann Robinson at arobinson@amciweb.com
for your access code.
What is the assessment based on and how many
questions are there?
The overall assessment is arranged in 5 smaller
sections, aligned to APM's BOK Knowledge Areas
and PMDY courses 1-5. This allows the participant
to take each section individually if desired,
or complete all 5 sections in one sitting depending
on available time. The section titles are:
- Project Management Framework and Integration
(42 questions)
- Project Scope and Quality Management (22 questions)
- Project Time and Cost Management (21 questions)
- Project HR and Communications Management (22
questions)
- Project Risk, Opportunity and Procurement
