Pre-Course Basic Knowledge Areas (BKA) Assessment PMI® /
APM
BAE Systems recommends that before attending these courses, participants
complete the two-hour skills assessment which identifies their strengths
and areas for improvement. The assessment, along with this six-course
curriculum will provide participants with the knowledge necessary to prepare
for either the PMI® PMP or the APM APMP examination and certification.
The Basic Knowledge Areas (BKA) assessment is designed to validate the
participant's knowledge in the basic project management knowledge areas
as identified in the Project Management Institute's Project Management
Body of Knowledge ( PMBOK® Guide).
Similarly, the APM BKA assessment uses a series of questions concerning
the knowledge areas applicable to the APM Body of Knowledge (APMBoK).
These assessments may be found on the BAE Systems portion of the website:
www.amciweb.com. For information on how to access the assessments, contact
your PMA.
The assessment results are provided immediately and confidentially to
the participants and are intended for their use in identifying their strengths
or weaknesses in the BKA's. Armed with this information, the participants
can make informed decisions about the PMDY courses they should attend.
